Another example of the importance of recognising the signs and symptoms of Sepsis is in the news this week. 

Blessing Matia's mother was worried after she contracted chickenpox, and had a high temperature, but after Blessing was seen by the doctors and they were not worried about her condition, she was discharged home. 

The East London NHS Foundation Trust, which was responsible for the care Blessing received at Newham Urgent Care Centre last year, has admitted that doctors failed to notice her symptoms. The civil case for medical negligence has now settled, and experts confirmed that Blessing would have been saved if she had been given antibiotics.
