With Accident and Emergency departments across the UK continuing to struggle to hit the 4 hour A&E target, its welcoming news that £55.98 million is being allocated to 70 NHS hospitals.
A&E departments are often the busiest over the winter period so it is hoped the funds will be used to help departments cope next winter.
We have a number of medical negligence claims within the group which relate to substandard A&E care and delays in diagnosis and treatment.
If more funding is available, it is hoped that more patients will be seen within the 4 hour target and delays in diagnosis and treatment significantly reduced.
If you think you may have a medical negligence claim relating to A&E care, please do not hesitate to contact Emily Hartland by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
The funding will be used by hospitals to meet the 95% standard of admitting, transferring, or discharging patients within 4 hours by ensuring patients are treated in the most appropriate setting.
